I'm Taryn.

I love being behind the camera, chocolate-covered anything, astrology memes, and videos of dogs getting adopted.

Here I am at age 10 photographing my mom public speaking, and at 16 photographing my high school football team for yearbook.
Even though I grew up in New York, I ended up going to Indiana University (GO HOOSIERS), and I was already dating my high school sweetheart in picture #2 (we've been together for 14 years and counting)! So I guess what I'm trying to say is, the theme of my life is, "when you know, you know."

A few other things I'm passionate about: our dog, Chewy, nature walks, body positivity, hosting Shabbat dinners, volunteering, and chocolate. I know I already mentioned chocolate, but it's just really important to me.

BUT I'm a pretty consistent person.

Haters will say it's Photoshop...

At the same time, I understand how stressful it can be to get in front of a camera. That's why I do everything in my power to make you feel relaxed, looked after, and prepared for your shoot. I provide outfit and location suggestions, patiently guide you through poses, and tell you all the reasons I think you look absolutely wonderful. I'll even fix that piece of hair you warned me about.

When it comes to photographing kiddos, I come equipped with extra warmth, patience and silly hats. I promise to never make you or your child feel judged or rushed, even when we're low on time. In my years of photographing kids, I've learned the easiest way to capture real smiles and giggles is to make them feel like the shoot is no big deal. We're just hanging at the park, eating snacks and taking pictures. You'd be surprised how many delicious photos I can get without them realizing it's a photoshoot.

My favorite compliment is when someone walks away from a shoot and tells me that was so much easier than they expected. My other favorite compliment is when I show someone a preview on the back of my camera and they say, "Wait. I love that picture of myself!"

I love photographing people because I want to help them see themselves the way their loved ones see them.

I believe photoshoots should be fun.

"I thought taking family photos would be like wrangling cats but Taryn just set the most lovely, calming tone. It was truly such a pleasure! Her talent is just incredible and her photos are hanging all over my house. From one Taryn to another, thank you times a thousand!" - Taryn G.

don't just take my word for it.
